A B O U T

In case you were wondering who I am...
If you just happened to have stumbled onto my little blog, then stay a while and get to know my beautiful family and me!
I promise not to bite, and I'm really nice :-)

This is us...

We're Southerners that used to live in  beautiful and sunny, Southern California.
Thanks to Marine Corps life, we've lived everywhere from San Diego, to Oceanside, to Orange County, to Boston!

We are now currently "stationed" in College Station, TX (yes, MY Hometown!)
Oh yeah, and we are both hardcharging and motivated UNITED STATES MARINES.
I'm a former SSgt of Marines (rah!) that was honorably discharged after 10 years of service, and followed my <3 heart <3 to Boston where my hubby was the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor for Boston University, MIT, Harvard, and several other surrounding college.
My hubby is currently an active duty, full time student at TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY (WHOOP!).
He was accepted to the Marine Corps' Enlisted to Officer commissioning program (MECEP).
This studly man himself...my hubby..he is from South aLabAma (Roll Tide Roll)!
And me...I'm from the amazing College Station, TeXaS (Home of the Fightin' Texas Aggies)!

First Comes Love...
 {Our 1st Official Date}
We met back in 2008 through a mutual friend.
We didn't OFFICIALLY meet though until about a month later when we just happened to be qualifying on the same rifle range...
Edson Range to be exact.
**Romantic**, isn't it?
It all just kinda happened really fast from there cause...

Then Comes Marriage...
{The Morning After Our "Wedding"}
We were married a month after dating.
We didn't tell a single soul.
And when we did...
People told us we were C-R-A-Z-A-Y!
We literally decided on a Monday to fly to Vegas THAT Friday night after work, get married, and flew back on Saturday morning just in time for hubby to go back to work :-)
It was perfect, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Here Comes Baby...
{Dannika Jane Romer 7/12/2009 8lbs 19 inches long}

(She gave her mama a rough Labor and Delivery)
Is she not the most beautiful baby you've ever laid eyes on?!
Our first love of our life and reason for living.
Since then, our quiet little life has DRASTICALLY changed.
We wouldn't have it any other way :-)
She keeps us laughing...
She keeps us on our toes...
She gives us a whole new meaning to the word "LOVE".

{Mattis Mark Vincent Romer 8~26~13 7lbs 11ozs 20 3/4 inches long}

I never thought I would want a son, and I never thought I could love another human as much as my daughter.
I'm so glad that I was wrong, and as cliche as this sounds, I couldn't imagine my life without this little guy.
I fell in love all over again, and he's just what our family needed for it to be complete.
Lastly, I'm excited about motherhood with this little guy as a stay at home mom!
 *****************************************
Our family has survived quite a bit in the last several years to include...
*{THE DRILL FIELD}*
(aka Drill Instructor Duty)

*{RECRUITING Duty}*
Yes...we did our special duty assignments AT THE SAME TIME!

*{PREGNANCY WHILE RECRUITING}*

 *{TWO DEPLOYMENTS TO AFGHANISTAN}*

*{A YEAR LONG SEPARATION FROM HUBBY DUE TO DUTY STATIONS}*
He ended being stationed here in Boston right after returning from his 2nd deployment to Afghanistan in 2012, and I was still stationed on Camp Pendleton in Cali. So it was just my little munchkin and me for almost an entire year!

We adopted a crazy and undisciplined American bulldog named Dozer.

*{MY HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM THE MARINE CORPS AFTER 10 EXHAUSTING yet fulfilling YEARS!}*

*{A CROSS COUNTRY MOVE TO NEW ENGLAND AND SURVIVING OUR FIRST BLIZZARD}*

 *{A NEW BABY LESS THAN A YEAR OF EAS'ing FROM THE CORPS}*

We still have many more challenges to face in our future :-)
*************************
 That's our little Family of 4 in a nutshell.
 SO, I hope you feel like you SORTA know us now.
And if not,
Keep following us on our little blog.
Or at least drop by from time to time and say hello to my gorgeous children...

    We may, or may not, be distantly related, but I enjoyed reading about your family. All the best for your future outside the marines.
